I saw this on my favorite TV show, “How I Met Your Mother”. “Life is a dinner and old age is the desert.” It comes from the mantra of detective Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon movies “I’m too old for this shit”. Of course the irony of it all was that Murtaugh kept doing all of the shit that he was too old to do. So here is the tip of my Murtaugh List. Drinking til I throw up…..I feel way worse at 25 after a good bender than i did at 18, or even 21 for that matter. “Riiiiiggggggs! I’m too old for this shit!!!!!” Popping my collar….Its always been pretty douchey, but even less forgivable as one ages. “I’m too old for this shit…” “Peeling out”…screeching your tires for no reason at all is fun, when you don’t have to buy your own tires. “I’m gettin too old for this shit…” Pulling an All-nighter….Red-Bull and NoDoz just doesn’t sound like an apealing diet…no matter how important the final “I’m WAY too old for this shit!” This is beginning to sound a little too similar to Angie Tempura from bitchpleez, so next time I have some thoughts, I’ll get back to it.
